You got a reaction Felt pretty nice, didn’t it? I think it sums up Pretty much everything, everything When you count to five It’s fine when you count to five It’s cool when you count to six It’s cool, it’s cool, it’s cool I like to stay alive, it’s fine to count to five It’s cool, it’s cool, it’s cool Never, never, never want to go home Convey a sense Of what is next, oh well Everything, everything, everything, everything is fine I just like to get it fixed How can I get it fixed? Can’t turn you off Never, never, never, want to go home You’re my personal Refrigerator How would it handle If we just shut up? When I die It’s so cold (everything, everything, everything, everything is fine) Shave my head Just to relate (everything, everything, everything, everything is fine) When they count to five They count to six

Turn, turn, turn, turn Everything Turns to stone Buildings will Outlast me Burning hands Always Always will Hurt

Always wanting something new Find it anywhere you can Vision learning Algorithms Just watch out Now you’ll find There’s a change in your mind When it’s most convenient Recognizing lines Of a trace sent online Not impossible to think They know, they know, they know, they know Vision learning Algorithms Just watch out I’m just a digital girl in a digital world What an event Rows upon rows Of a shape never grows Might miss my hair They know, they know, they know, they know You can have anything

On a plastic casket Cover ears, you’ll never guess Interrupting values See your mouth shut I am the only one Never in, always out Grab the handle and pray Leave the tunnel knowing You’re always at fault Dancing around With a black cone on your head Tried to bite my leg It was very obvious Always possible It’s quite possible Obvious and color-blind When can we meet? I know, I know, I know Something You don’t Uh oh Trash man rule all I am the State Eat your windows Big mouth hello Neon camo Latex skin graft

I am a flat screen Staring back at me So so so serene I am a flat screen We like hearing pop songs They sound like music Iceberg’s are bigger than Bigger than they look 1 million hurts Repeat the words I was living miles away Hills are a numeral I found Neighbors are dressed in bugs Not a problem if I can see it I can’t see it, I can’t see it

Selfie 02:22
So, how are you doing Now? It’s time to hear from Dogs and cats will rain down Don’t you overfeed them I don’t want to live forever All I wants to know Is what makes you tick See the ground in Chinatown Can barely touch the concrete Sunday’s are so fun now So much time Don’t forget to Finish what you Now uncomfortable A blender for your mouth Shout, shout, shout, shout I go outside now I don’t want to dig forever All I want to ditch is this Nervous tick Don’t forget to Finish what you Started out to Do for you Instrumental What’s the point of point of view when you are trying for significance?
10.
You set it up I see you’re sly, I see you’re sly You rig it up I see the tides, I see the tides No cleaning up I see your side, I see your side No dressing up All of you, all of you, all of you, all of you I’m so cold, I’m so cold Air is hot, air is hot Guiltier, guiltier Always always Kick a nerd I wish you would I wish you were I wish I could Uninvited, uninvited Always always It’s Not a party When every single thing Falls down

about

This is our second album called "SAFES". We wanted to make a "Pop" album (Pet Sounds! A Seat At The Table? Surfer Rosa.) full of hyperbole, honesty and the Fun That Doesn't Stop.

These songs are about a number of topics including, but not limited to: environmental collapse, Alt-Right personalities, bedbugs, data use, and watching someone punch the hood of a luxury car in the middle of a crosswalk.

We were lucky to enough to have our friends lend their immense talents, efforts and insights to make this disc much better than we ever could have ourselves. Hope in the dark. Thanks for waiting.

Press:
"Wild. Crazy. Noisy. Abrasive. Intelligent. Zany. Harsh. And even quite funny at times... If you're looking for something tame, simple, and familiar, you're probably going to be confused by this album. But more adventurous and truly open-minded music fans are going to love this one... But this is not just noise for the sake of noise. These guys write smart memorable songs... This is one of the best and most intense albums we've heard in months. A true thrill ride. Highly recommended. Top pick." - babysue

"Snap the compass, throw the charts overboard, delete MapQuest™: There are no maps that can help you where The Brankas journey will take you. Pulsating, grinding, hornets’ nest Adderall-core™ with no respect for conventions of song structure. There’s a lot to unpack here, but if you are a fan of FAT DAY, the BOREDOMS, et al, I’d encourage you to check in." - Maximum Rock n' Roll

"Tangentially related hyperbole: I'd argue that nowhere in the history of recorded sound is this statement truer than within the music of San Francisco's the Brankas. And on their new record SAFES, you will find yourself constantly unsure of what's next, but loving every minute of the journey." - The Bay Bridged

“ ‘SAFES’ is a prime example of a band who can write complex music without sacrificing the fun of it... Every over-the-top time signature change or shreddy guitar line works to move along the song and make full use of the band’s dynamic range. Jumpy flourishes, wonky guitar tones, and glitched, stuttering delays are strategically placed to keep the variety alive... making for a listening experience more engaging than your standard indie rock band, but also less abrasive than many of their art-noise contemporaries.” - Rainy Dawg Radio

"Although The Brankas are definitely experimenting and going off the edge here — you’re probably not going to find these waves of chaos anywhere near a radio... It’s not too complicated, and you get a sense of perspective on the development’s whole scope... SAFES ultimately feels like an album you can have a lot of subtly constructive fun to. There’s an apparent drive to settle in to an illustrious, passionate embrace of the “noise” running through this record that feels drawn straight from scenes around us — and really, what’s not to love about that? It’s a powerful experience, ready to go. 5/5 Stars." - Captured Howls
